We got the van loaded in no time at all and had a very pleasant chat about life, the universe and everything during the drive to my new place. Once arrived, very quick and efficient unloading and transport to my new home. He took our stuff from London to Harrogate and put in a solid 10 hour shift lifting, driving, packing and unpacking. He is a good guy who gets the job done with no fuss. They were quick, friendly and professional and I was really comfortable travelling in the van with them from Surrey to Birmingham. When moving home it can be a very stressful time and these guys took all the worries out of my move. The laughs and chat on the journey were a bonus, thanks to both of you for the great job you do! Driver was on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful Simon did turn up on time and got our items from London up to Scotland with only minor damage (my Kitchenaid mixer was dented). The reason for the poor review is that despite me sending photos of our items and Simon saying it would all be fine, he turned up on the morning of the move saying there was no way the items would fit in the van. Indeed he was right but being stung £500 and having to incur a 4 and a half hour delay wasn't very professional. I would not recommend or use again. Driver's response: I told the customer on the telephone that I didn't think all her items would fit and I was right, unfortunately they didn't. I feel that I did as much as I could to help and even stopped the clock while my other driver came with a second van. I also didn't charge the customer any overtime, just for the second van, so she received a massive discount and it was fortunate that I was able to supply a second van at such short notice. I was not made aware of any damage so cannot comment on the dented kitchen mixer.	7 years ago

Driver was on time Had straps and blankets Driver was respectful What was disappointing was the fact it was not clear the size of the van I had ordered. So I had to order another van at the last moment which meant I spent a lot more than I had budgeted. The problem was caused by the fact I was shown a larger van on the photo on the website and underneath it said this may not be the van you have ordered or words to that effect. The driver told me this happens quite a lot which means it needs to be clearer. We wasted an hour and I had to take one of the drivers all the way to his depot to collect another van to save time. CMV Response: We do make it clear on the website that the picture of the van on the driver's profile may not be the vehicle you receive for your booking. This is because many of our service providers are multi vehicle companies. However, there is lots of information on the website to help you decide which size van you need, or you can email us for help, call us from 8.00am to 10.00pm 7 days a week for advice, or there is a live chat portal. In addition, we do guarantee that the van size you receive will always conform to the minimum size guide on the website for that size of vehicle, so for instance, if you order a large van, you will receive a large van.	7 years ago

I booked the wrong kind of van for the move, (way too small) so Simon called to give me advice on what type of van I would need (a large as it turned out!) and offered his assistance for loading and unloading for just £30 extra. He arrived on time, and was happy for my cat and me to travel in the cab with him; 7 hours later and he was so lovely the entire ride up to Glasgow from London. Traffic and weather conditions were terrible and the drive from London to Greater Manchester took a lot longer than expected. When they arrived after such a tortuous drive it was cold, sleeting and dark but they were so cheerful and immediately set to unpacking the van. They put everything in the rooms we asked them to and were quick and professional. Everything was secure in the van and delivered safely. I would definitely recommend Shift It UK	8 years ago

He remained cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even took off the door to enable the sofa to come in. I found the website on the off chance, booked online and was moved within two hours which was amazing.
